The mahogany body set the tone for the project &#8211; it&#8217;s going to be dark and rock sounding guitar (I hope).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parts<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Neck: Not brave enough to build a neck on my first go, I sourced a neck, pre-fretted with a paddle headstock off Ebay.<\/li>\n<li>Pickups: I always fancied trying some active pickups, this seemed the perfect time. EMG 81 and SA &#8211; again from Ebay.<\/li>\n<li>Bridge: Hardtail bridge to keep things simple. Top loader.<\/li>\n<li>Tuners: Cheapest locking tuners I could find.<\/li>\n<li>Misc Hardware: Volume, tone, 3 way switch and a Kill-switch thrown in to make things more interesting.
